Results & Happiness of tomorrow V/S today’s habits and routines!

Someone has rightly said that..

“First you make your habit and then your habit makes your future”.

“Habit is a shirt made of iron”

Habits are one of the critical components in our life. Habits can be good or  bad. Whatever we are today and whatever we have today is because of our past good or bad habits.If we want to live a better than good life then we should have to focus on developing a good constructive habits.

The kind of feelings and thoughts we get during the day and the kind of daily routines we have during the day is shaping our habit and destiny and the worst thing is most of us are  really unconscious and not aware about what we were yesterday and what we have become today.

Whatever results we are getting today is because of our past action and whatever results we will be getting in the future will depend on our today’s continue action.

There is a WALL OF HABITS between whatever conditions we are in today and what we want to be in future and the most surprising thing is that this WALL has been created by us only.

We should try to see and understand what are the activities we are doing from morning to-night, what kind of people we are meeting and how are their behaviour, what kind of good or bad language we are using throughout the day, our eating/drinking habits, what kind of books/magazines we are reading and what are we watching/seeing/hearing in our television, laptop, tablet etc. It’s all about living a conscious life. Awareness about what we are doing!

We have 5 senses, since we  cannot lock those 5 senses hence we need to be very careful.


Whatever is happening near our surroundings is impacting our life and shaping our daily routines/habits.That’s why many Spiritual Guru’s and intelligent people have said that “Lead a conscious life”. See what is happening with you!

With the advent of new year 2015, we must have made a lot of commitment with ourself with lot of fun fair and energy, must have brought a new calendar, a new diary, a new journal, a new pen and must have told our friend that “Enough is Enough”, now the time has come to change and I will really do something big in my life.

From today onwards, I will read at least one page of some good books on a daily basis, will get up early at 5 am and will go for jogging, before going to bed at night will make a “to do” list of tomorrow, will come from my office to home on time, will work on achieving my goals on a daily basis, will make some sale on a daily basis and will keep my boss happy, will not smoke cigarette from tomorrow onwards. Like this we do a lot of commitment at the start of every new year.

As per a research, 95% of the people hold on to their commitment only for few days and then come back to their daily routine waiting for another new year. It happens because we have been doing our past daily routine from last so many years and as per research if we keep on doing something regularly for more than > 66 days then it becomes our HABITS.

Whenever we  try to do a new work or try to do a new way of doing a work then our mind goes against it because our mind is used to do the work as per certain old routines. Hence we start feeling discomfort/pain and by which we do not continue with the new things and get back to our old style of doing work as that is how we have been doing it since so many years.

Its said that..

“Repetition is the mother of learning”

If we keep on repeating some words or work, it gets stored in the treasury of our sub-conscious mind.

We  have forgotten the fact that whenever we try to do anything new we will be in an uncomfortable position for a few days.

Did we started walking the moment we came out of our mother’s womb ? Haven’t we cried before going to school during our childhood days ?

We  should keep one thing in mind that in life we always get new things/new habits and success along with discomfort and pain.

We  should remember that whenever we are trying to learn anything new, initially there will be a lots of pain, life will seem to be little zig-zag but if we  can bear that pain then the end result will definitely be fantastic & gorgeous.

As per one of the research of London University, if we want to make something as our habit then we need to do continuously certain practice for 66 days without any stoppage.

We  all want a good present and the future but to achieve that we are not ready to pay the price. We should understand that everything has a price attached to it so is success, fame etc.

As per the nature’s law:

“ If you want something then first you have to give.”

“As you Sow so shall you reap”.

“If you sow the seeds of apple then do not expect orange”. With routines of bad habits , many of us expecting the good results. That is not going to happen.

We can also reap the benefits of our desires and dreams if we  take care of our daily routines and habits properly.

If we want to succeed in all areas of our life then we have to endure pain because all the products in this universe are a result of pain.

We came into this world because our mother went through a severe pain. A seed goes through a lot of pain underground then only it becomes a giant tree.

Take out sometime during the day and ask these few questions to yourself:

  1. Am I living a conscious life?
  2. Am I doing productive or non productive work through out the day?
  3. Am I learning anything new on a daily basis ?
  4. Am I able to fulfil my responsibilities which I have towards my family?
  5. Am I wasting my time or investing my time?
  6. Am I learning a new skills every year?
  7. Am I developing my competencies?
  8. Am I happy with whatever I am doing in a day? If not then it’s time to think what should I do to make my self happy and to others!
  9. Am I in the door of bad habits or in the door of good habits.


“Control Over self” is a power.

Attracting good thoughts and working on that is the key to success.

If we keep on doing something consistently then we can become a master in that. Most of the us know this but then also we do not follow it because we have been chained by our old habits. So we  should break the wall of old habits and make a wall of new habits.

As rightly said by J.C.Penney and he was right..

“The best way to stop a bad habit is never to begin it”

“People don’t know what they don’t know and they are not trying to know what they don’t know”
